Dream Forge Writer - Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dream Forge Writer ("Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Dream Forge Writer is an online content platform that provides:

  • Genres — Organized collections of projects by topic or category.
  • Projects and Sections — Structured content created by writers.
  • AI-Assisted Tools — Athena guidance and related AI content features powered by approved providers.
  • Community Chat — Premium member chat with moderation and retention controls.
  • Support Tickets — Premium support requests and admin follow-up workflows.
  • Leaderboards and Writer Ratings — Ranking and feedback systems used for discovery, rewards, and fairness checks.

The Platform offers both free and subscription-based content.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To access the Platform's features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Dream Forge Writer is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Content

Certain sections and content are available without a subscription. Free content may be modified or removed at our discretion.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
  • By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.
  • Subscription prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may change with 30 days' notice.

4.3 Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing area or customer billing portal made available by the Platform.
  • Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid content until the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

4.4 Leaderboard Reward Access (Writers)

  • Dream Forge Writer may offer promotional Pro access tied to writer leaderboard placement.
  • Leaderboard rewards are discretionary, can be modified or paused, and are not guaranteed for any specific duration.
  • If a writer has an active paid subscription, a reward discount may apply while eligible and may be removed when eligibility changes, after which normal billing resumes.
  • If a writer does not have an active paid subscription, reward-based access may end when eligibility ends, and standard subscription purchase is required for continued Pro access.
  • We may suspend, revoke, or adjust reward eligibility when abuse, fraud, or manipulation is detected.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access.
  • Attempt to interfere with the Platform's operation, security, or infrastructure.
  • Copy, distribute, or reproduce Platform content without authorization.
  • Upload or transmit harmful content, including viruses, malware, or spam.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or Platform staff.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform without permission.
  • Manipulate ratings, leaderboard placement, or reward qualification through fake accounts, collusion, self-dealing, or other deceptive behavior.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Platform Content

All content provided by Dream Forge Writer — including project materials, design, branding, and software — is owned by or licensed to Dream Forge Writer and is protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 Writer Content

Content created by writers is subject to the Writer Content License Agreement. Readers may access writer content for personal use only.

6.3 Your Use

Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and view content. You may not redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit any Platform content.

7. User Content

If you submit content to the Platform (e.g., profile information, projects, sections):

  • You retain ownership of your content.
  • You grant us a license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to operate the Platform.
  • You agree your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

If you submit ratings, support tickets, chat messages, or other account-related content:

  • You retain ownership of your content where applicable.
  • You grant us a license to store, process, moderate, and display that content as necessary to operate the Platform.
  • Ratings may be shown in aggregate statistics, and chat messages may be visible to eligible members.

8. AI-Assisted Features

Dream Forge Writer may provide AI-assisted features, including Athena.

  • AI responses are provided for writing workflow guidance, platform guidance, and related assistance.
  • AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date and should be reviewed before you rely on it.
  • We may apply rate limits, safety filters, BYOK controls, and feature restrictions to AI tools at any time.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • Accuracy or completeness of content.

We do not guarantee that the Platform will meet your specific objectives, preserve any specific leaderboard position, maintain any specific reward access, or produce perfectly accurate AI output.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dream Forge Writer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Platform.
  • Any content obtained from the Platform.
  • Unauthorized access to your account or data.
  • Interruption or cessation of Platform services.
  • Changes to or discontinuation of leaderboards, rewards, AI features, or support tooling.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

10.1 By You

You may request account closure at any time by contacting support or platform administrators. Subscription cancellation and account closure are separate actions. Once an account closure request is completed, your direct access to the Platform ends. Some records may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy. If you are a writer, your published content may be preserved or relicensed according to the Writer Content License Agreement.

10.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms.
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • Extended non-payment of subscription fees.
  • Manipulation of ratings, rankings, or reward qualification.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of severe violations.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We will provide 30 days' notice for material changes that affect your rights.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and applicable state law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable Writer Content License Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dream Forge Writer.
